There’s plenty to explore right on your doorstep here at Killin Log Cabins. From hiking to golfing there are many ways to soak up the scenery and enjoy some invigorating highland air during an outdoor Perthshire activity break. Below are some of the top activities in the local area, however this list is far from exhaustive. If you have something specific in mind – just ask!

Killin Golf Club

Just a stones throw away from our cabins this par-five local nine-hole course is a hidden gem. Look forward to a true highland parkland course that will keep you on the toes, there are also terrific views to enjoy between each hole. You can find out more on their website here.

The Scottish Crannog Centre

Located at the far end of Loch Tay is this 5 star visitor attraction which gives an engaging insight into life in the Iron Age. Mains of Taymouth Stables

Enjoy a superb highland hack around the local countryside. All abilities are welcome and it’s a terrific way to explore the area with the help of an experienced guide. There’s also the chance for younger riders to ride a friendly pony. The popular ‘Family Ride’ means that no one feels left out. For the health and well-being of the horses there is a rider weight limit of 95kg / 210lbs / 15 st. Find out more on their website here.
